District Level Seminar

"Organizational Growth and Strategic HRM"

Poona Institute of Management Sciences & Entrepreneurship (PIMSE) in collaboration with University of Pune had organized a District level Seminar on "Organizational Growth and Strategic HRM". The seminar was organized under the aegis of Dr. Anwar Shaikh, Director, PIMSE. The seminar was inaugurated by Mr. Aijaz Hussain, Director, Corporate Support, Poonawalla Group. In his key note address he highlighted the role that HR plsays in the organization and how organizational growth and strategic HR management are interconnected.

Mr. Rajendra Sabnis, Senior General Manager- Corporate HR & Admin, Poonawalla Group was also present at the seminar and spoke on the topic "The Changing role of HR". Ms. Shahina Islam, Head, Learning, Development and Employee Relation, Zensar Technologies Pvt. Ltd. kept the audience captivated by sharing the various practices of Talent Management that are followed at Zensar. Mr. Ankur Berry, HR Manager, WNS, shared his views on Performance Management and its strategic Relevance.

The seminar achieved its objective of bringing to light the linkage between the HR subsystems and organisational growth. The seminar was coordinated by Prof. Tahemina Kazi and Prof. Pooja Wankhede with active support of the other staff members of the institute.
