International Women's day

Every year, 8 March is celebrated around the world as International Women's Day and so was it at PIMSE. Hundreds of events occur not just on this day but throughout March to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women. The Director, Dr. Anwar Shaokh, along with the Male faculty and students planned a surprise celebration for the female faculty and students of PIMSE. A felicitation program was organized in the seminar hall of PIMSE. The chief guest for the function was Ms. Mukhta Manohar, secretary, INTUC and a social worker.

Ms. Mukhta Manohar in her talk spoke on the welfare of women and said that "in order to have economic progress, political stability investment on in the women of the country is essential."

Dr. Anwar Shaikh in his address appreciated the hard work and sincerity of the staff and and talked about the role of women in the nation's development. The function ended with each of the female faculty members and female students being felicitated.
