DISTRICT LEVEL SEMINAR ON "ORGANIZATIONAL GROWTH AND STRATEGIC HRM" - 6th March, 2010

It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that Poona Institute of Management Sciences & Entrepreneurship (PIMSE), Pune is organizing a District Level Seminar on "Organizational Growth and Strategic HRM" on 6th March, 2010 at PIMSE, from 10:00a.m. to 1:00p.m.

Organizations are increasingly looking at human resources as a unique asset that can provide sustained competitive advantage. The changes in the business environment with increasing globalization, changing demographics of the workforce, increased focus on profitability through growth, technological changes, intellectual capital and the never-ending changes that organizations are undergoing have led to increased importance of managing human resources.

This seminar will addresses the elements of organizational growth, the linkages between organizational structure, systems, processes and organizational growth, strategies to examine the existing leadership development processes and current developments in various SHRM subsystems.

Even the best marketing strategies need to be revisited, if not revised. Changes in the market environment can dramatically change the marketing mix and your product plans. Strategizing for Marketing requires sensitivity to the external market environment and the obtainment of sustainable competitive advantages in the market place. The development of marketing strategies further involves the appreciation of the linkages between marketing strategy formulation and its implementation. Theme of the seminar

Corporate Branding Strategies in a Changing Indian Market Environment. Environmental Scanning: New Trends with respect to Consumer and Competitive Scenario.

Call for Papers

Original Papers or case studies on the above mentioned theme are invited from academic scholars, practicing professionals and industry officials. The contributor can include any other topic falling under the broad gamut of the main theme. The word limit of paper is upto 3000 words. The paper must be typed in 12 pt fonts in Times New Roman with 1.5 lines space. Abstract should have a limit of two paragraphs. Besides, there must be list of key words and a few lines about the author with E- mail address and contact telephone number. The papers should reach on or before 8th March, 2010 on the following E-mail: pimse.seminar@gmail.com. The papers will be scrutinized by Institute's Review Committee. The selected papers will be presented in the Seminar.
Best paper award : The best accepted paper for faculty and student will get cash prize & certificate.
